Gulf War hero John Peters, who spent nearly two months being tortured by the Iraqis, is setting up his own stress management business.
Former Flight lieutenant Peters was systematically beaten after being captured when his Tornado fighter plane was shot down.
He and his navigator John Nicol spent seven harrowing weeks in captivity and were paraded on television to an audience of millions by their Iraqi captors. Now, on the 10th anniversary of Operation Dessert Storm, Mr Peters is drawing on his gruesome experiences as he starts a new life away from the RAF.
He has set up a management development firm along with friend, former England rugby star and RAF pilot Rory Underwood, to help firms deal with stress.
Mr Peters, 39, who now lives in Worcester, said: "People recognise I know what I'm talking about when it comes to stress management. My experiences add to that".
